Warner Bros. has gained the rights to The Executioner, an upcoming motion film starring Jason Momoa, according to a recent report from Deadline.

The film was obtained just after what Deadline phone calls “an intense bidding war,” with Warner Bros. inevitably coming out on best. The film’s official storyline is getting retained below wraps, but will be penned by Kaz and Ryan Firpo (Marvel’s Eternals), and is getting billed as a “fun action murder mystery” that brings together the feels of Knives Out with Lord of the Rings.
