Endeavour is the prequel to ITV collection Inspector Morse.
It is set in the 1960s/70s and follows the daily life of younger Detective Chief Inspector Endeavour Morse.
He is played by actor Shaun Evans.
The pilot episode, which premiered in 2012, accumulated 8.21m viewers.
It followed on from Inspector Morse and its sequel Lewis, which aired amongst 2006 and 2015.
The ninth collection will consist of 3 episodes.
