According to Deadline, The Expendables star Jason Statham has formally signed for his following motion thriller, titled The Beekeeper, with Suicide Squad director David Ayer connected to helm. The project hails from Miramax, who is preparing to get started a franchise out of the movie. This marks Statham’s hottest collaboration with Miramax immediately after doing the job alongside one another on two of Male Ritchie’s most the latest action films.

“Having collaborated with Jason on Wrath Of Man and Procedure Fortune, and with David on Fury, we are fortunate to associate with these masters of the new action style to deliver Kurt’s outstanding script to the to start with installment of this franchise.”

Described as a rapidly-paced motion thriller, The Beekeeper “follows a man’s personal journey of vengeance which requires on national stakes right after he is revealed to be a former operative of a potent and clandestine group regarded as the Beekeepers,” reads the synopsis.

The movie will be directed by David Ayer from a screenplay prepared by Kurt Wimmer. It will be created by Statham and Wimmer, alongside with Bill Block for Miramax and Chris Long for Cedar Park Studios.

Statham will following be seen in the forthcoming motion sequels, The Expendables 4, Meg 2: The Trench, and Rapidly X. Ayer was first acknowledged for writing Antoine Fuqua’s crime drama Instruction Working day and 2001’s The Quickly and the Furious. His directorial film credits include Street Kings, Close of View, Fury, Brilliant, and The Tax Collector.
